Brazil is an amazing place to be because of its good food and crazy parties. This nation is located in the central eastern part of South America. In Brazil, the citizens there speak portuguese.

Since Brazil is located at the equator, its climate is hot and very humid, and sometimes sticky and dry. This great nation has the greatest passion for one sport played all over the world: Soccer or, how people say it there, Football or Futebol. In Brazil, kids go out on the streets and play soccer. But back then, one of the greatest soccer players to ever live was born here. This man won three World Cups with Brazil (1958, 1962, and 1970) and is Brazil’s all time record goalscorer, with 77 goals in 92 games! In this, I will talk about Brazil’s World Cup history and the man behind this all.

It was a hard time for Brazil in soccer. But, in October 23, 1940, Pelé was born. After a couple of years, he went to try out for the brazilian soccer team named Santos FC. After trying out, Pelé got a spot in the brazilian national team. The most surprising thing is, he was only 17 years old and he was the youngest player to play in a World Cup. Then, finally, Brazil went to the FIFA World Cup on June 29, 1958.

After a very tough match against the hosts of the tournament, Sweden, Pelé went to score two goals for Brazil and gave them their first ever World Cup trophy (Brazil won the match 5-2)! Every brazilian was in shock since this 17 year old has help them win this tournament. After the win, Brazil went on to win another 4 World Cups throughout the years. This national team has the most won trophies of and other team out there. Brazil’s World Cup history is amazing, and it will still continue since the team has another world-class player named Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior. Pelé and Brazil have had an amazing World Cup history.That was the story of Brazil’s World Cup History and Pelé.

Brazil is an amazing place to be in, but their passion for soccer is never-ending. I’ve wished to fly down to Brazil to see how it is there and maybe play some Football there with some kids. In my opinion, this is the place to be for an awesome vacation. Since the country is near the equator, it is really hot there. Brazilians can turn into some very good soccer players, which is why Brazil has produced some of the best soccer players to ever live. This was why Brazil is my most favorite Latin American country on the planet.
