Ghiza (diet) is described as a
substance that does not change in the body but it changed by the body in such a

Ghiza (diet): Ghiza
are substances that have ability to become a part of the body.

Ghiza-e-Dawee (Diet cum drug):
These are the diets that have the nutritive value and as well as medicinal
properties. These substances have more dietary constituents as compared to drug
constituents. eg Cucumber, bottle guard and green etc.

Dawa-e-ghizaee (drug cum diet):
These are the medicinal substances which have some nutritive value along with
the medicinal benefits. eg. Almonds

Dawa (Drug): It
is defined as substances that cause change in the body and is not affected by
the body itself.

Summiyat (Poisons):
Poisons are substances that cause harmful changes in the normal functioning of
the body and in extreme cases may lead to death of an individual.

Types
of Ghiza (Diets):

BasicallyGhiza (diet) is divided into
three types. These are followings: 

Ghiza-e-latif (light diet):
This type of diet produces less viscous blood after metabolism. It is
recommended for those in whom body pores laden with thick matter or they have
susceptibility to develop calculi or obstruction.

Ghiza-e-kaseef
(heavy diet): This type of diet
produces more viscous blood after metabolism. It is advise in those who wants
to strengthen their body or accustomed to vigorous exercise.  

Ghiza-e-modatdil (moderate diet):
These are diets which produce normal or motadil
viscous of blood.

Classification
of diet with respect to metabolic process:

Ghiza-e-saree un nufooz (rapidly absorbing
diet): This type of diet, after digestion, is
rapidly absorb by the body.

Ghiza-e-bati un nufooz (Slowly absorbing
diet): This type of diet takes so much time to
absorb due to its complex and lengthy metabolic process which is difficult to
absorb after metabolism.

According to Kaimos (Chime), the diet is classified into following groups:

Jayyad-ul-kaimos (Good chime):
These are which produce good chime.

Radi-ul-kaimos(Bad chime):
These are diets which do not have ability to produce good chime.

According to nutritive value diet has
been classified into following categories:

Kaseerut taghziya (Highly nutritious):
These are diets which provide more nutritive value after digestion.

Qallelut taghziya (Slightly or less nutritious):
These are diets which give less nutritive value.
