Hero Essay

Hero Essay A hero is defined as a woman or man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for their brave deeds and qualities, or according to classical mythology, a being of godlike prowess and beneficence that often came to be honored as a divinity. An example of an epic hero Is Beowulf, who came from Eastland (modern-day Sweden) to Denmark to fight Grenade and his mother.

He also fought a dragon in the final moments of his life; winning but an injury sustained later claimed his life. A person who I come to find a hero herself is my grandmother; a woman, who herself, has underwent fights of conquest and greatness (although not famous). While some similarities between Beowulf and grandma are evident and noticeable the differences are pronounced between the two. A trait can be compared for both Grandma and Beowulf is the strength of the two. Grandma has had the strength to recover from strokes, surgeries, birthing children, and hunger.

Her wisdom so kind, yet so having me yearn for my own future in life. Although some wisdom is expressed in Beowulf, the story did not express wisdom along with his strength in his early years. In my family, grandma is known as a wise one with her wisdom covering all.The last and third trait compared between the two is the courage between the two. In the story, Beowulf had the courage to fight Grenade. He also fought Grenade’s mother.

In his later years, he went alone in his fight against a dragon in his later years Grandma had everyday challenges of abuse In her younger year, but she fought It.
