My volunteer work experience was eye-opening and life-changing. I was with the younger kids every day.
We Interacted by playing games, doing art, singing and dancing. About half way through, the older kids at the orphanage had a holiday so I was able to spend time with them and bond with them as well. Overall I had a great time. Timmy Is a child that diagnosed with leukemia. Yet, he Is a very adorable, smart, and a cheerful child.
Besides that, He always carry his teddy bear whenever he go. “l never feel lonely nor scared when I hugging my teddy” he said.I enjoyed spending my time with them very much, especially Timmy. Today, was just a week ago I back from England after I graduated from college. The scorching sun hanging high in the sky on this gorgeous morning. I maneuvered my car under the shady tree and stomped on the brakes.
My car screeched to a halt and I stepped out of my car. The gush of cold breeze caressed my cheeks, welcoming me warmly to their territory. The sound of flowing water colliding with the rocks in the pierced my ears. “Timmy will be surprised later. ” I whispered in my mind.When I stepped into the orphanage, I was welcomed by the orphanage director ND some children. But I could not found Timmy. “Where is Timmy? ” I asked the orphanage director out of curious.
“Elaine… Elm sorry that I kept a secret from you.
I guess it’s the time I should let you know now. ” the orphanage director answered and took me to aside. “Timmy left us last month due to his blood cancer. He wants me to pass this diary book for you. He said he really glad that he can met you in his life, for being someone that cared him like he is her own brother. ” the orphanage director said.
My heart squeezed when I heard the news. I had to bite my lips to refrain myself from crying out loud. My chest was Jerking. I wish this Is Just a dream. The orphanage director gave me a warm hug, “Stay strong, Elaine. I know how you feel.
Everything will be alright. Timmy is doing well now with God. Trust me. ” At the afternoon, accompany by the orphanage director, I vaulted Titles grave.
A rush of memories and emotions coursed through my being. How I wish I had spent more time with him. But It Is too late now.
