Age-long humanity and success have been partners as history puts in the picture. That does not out rule the fact that failure has no camaraderie with humanity. And one of its greatest, I think, that still stares at humanity’s face is the task of Egalitarianism; pursuing the deletion of inequality in the society; a very loved and welcomed project initialized many years past. And with no success – probably owing to the fact that we seem unaware of what we seek as we are yet to have a crystal-clear definition of equality which yet admits of no definition – the chore has over years been handed down to posterities. And to this day, it still stands as the numero uno of humankind’s greatest letdown towards which all temptations to give up efforts aren’t being succumbed to yet.
The inequality still stands, the fissure seems widening, far from being closed. Many differences exist and many more are still created, making this task harder. As fair as it will be not to appear myopic, the efforts made, no doubt have had their successes recorded but in vinegary truth, these successes are not worth mentioning in view of the big picture. As long as men and women are different; as long as people are of different social, political and economic levels, different cultures, traditions, so long as some possess what some others do not, the idea of equality will never be existent.
Much thanks to this inequality, the whole of humanity is in a hodgepodge; in an imperfect union. Maybe it’s our nature to be so! To this, some may pretty agree. To some others, No! And to some still; it might be our nature, but we can change things, we can put our nature in check.
This has been the spirit handed down, the kind to reshape destiny. And by this spirit, humanity still strive to bridge the massive gap of inequality – basically as it appears on the screen – by enhancing unity, magnifying collective characteristics and shredding to diminution the many idiosy…
