The art of war has changed dramatically over many centuries from the time of Babylon to today’s armed forces we have been advancing our technologies of war but not for the better.
Thousands of years ago factions who disagreed on political or physical matters respectfully left the innocents alone and met each other on a battlefield to have a battle but war at the time mainly used blades as the main form of attack. Hand to hand combat isn’t essential much in today’s armed forces being that we use inhumane weapons of distance like the assault rifle and handguns like the colt handgun weapons that require no effort to take the life of another human and destroy everything in their path it’s just inhumane. (Bilby, 2007).Since 1775 we’ve used firearms and guns of distance on the battlefield to engage the enemy they helped us win countless wars since the revolution for America’s independence but these tools of war have a negative side effect to them these machines send balls of metal at high speeds at the enemy leaving plants and animals in harm’s way . livescience.com/7476-gunpowder-changed-world.html.Since Chinese alchemist discovered gunpowder during experiments with substances that would hopefully expand their years of life we have been trying to create new machines of war even ones so advanced that they don’t require gunpowder to be manually loaded prior to the ammunition even weapons that are automatic and no longer manually loaded. When an automatic rifle is utilized its can have dramatic consequences for the environment and the enemy sending rounds flying at super high speeds and mainly more than one round is fired at once being that an automatic rifle can shoot up to 200 rounds per minute.Prior to the invention of firearms, an army used formations and swords and simple objects of wood and usually some type of string to make the archer’s weapon the composite bow a very good weapon of distance with a range of about 200 meters.
Alongside these weapons skills and tactics the Roman military was able to conquer North Western Europe through the near east on until there empire fell apart due to barbarian attacks and rival political tribes and groups.when the firearms came into the picture a couple hundred years later we saw the fall of a respectful style of war.”War.” Ancient History Encyclopedia, www.ancient.eu/war/.
When the technology came for the atomic bomb we mastered a technology of total destruction we created the most deadly weapon of all time able to kill up to 70000 Japanese citizens in the blink of an eye. US president at the time was at a standoff with Japan, Japan had two million soldiers willing to fight to the death our president Harry Truman was faced with the hardest decision of his life sacrifice the lives of a million estimated G.I.S to take Japan or to drop the atom bomb. When the atom bomb hit the city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki thousands of people perished vaporized within seconds but that decision Truman made had consequences to this day 100s of Japanese citizens will get cancer of some type of life-threatening diseases all linked to one decision. “The Manhattan Project.” Ushistory.

asp.Whipps, Heather. “How Gunpowder Changed the world Mechanical weapons engineered by man to kill at a distance are just wrong and inhumane when the war was waged with simple weapons from the sword to the composite bow the world was a beautiful place. You can walk upon the western or eastern front of world war one and see the scars of the earth from where weapons and artillery were exchanged between two political factions.
So we should return to how war was waged before the invention of mechanical weapons To save the environment from further more destruction back to the days where manpower and strength won the war not the power of a mechanical device.
