Earth’s atmosphere is composed of the gases that surround the earth’s surface
and held towards the planet by gravity. The atmosphere consists of different
layers; troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and exosphere,
respectively (Chang, Zhang, Wang, & Zhu, 2015). Have you ever asked
yourself of how the atmosphere would be with the extinction of human beings on

have negative effects on the atmosphere leading to its destruction and adverse
effect on climate and other natural phenomena. In the instance of extinction of
human beings, the atmosphere would thrive and the climate will be perfect for
supporting human life and balanced as Mother Nature intends it to be. At the
moment adverse climate changes that affect the weather, seasons is caused by
human activities. Without human beings on the planet, there will be no

bio-life that exists in the hydrosphere. We have heard so many cases where
pollution has led to the death of marine animals such as fish (Judd &
Hovland, n.d., p. 330). It is thus clear that the extinction of human
beings and their activities would be beneficial to the hydrosphere and prevent
all the negative impacts associated with human activities.

biosphere consists of all living organisms from the smallest organism to
largest. A microscopic organism such as bacteria is part of the biosphere.
Plants, animals and human beings are also part of the biosphere. The biosphere
at times can be explained as an ecosystem or a community of organism that
function as a single unit. The human beings are the most superior of the
biosphere and the most important as they can maintain the flow of energy
through the system. However, the above is not the case, and human beings
destroy the biosphere instead of helping it thrive.

species. Yes, you are right. The biosphere suffers a lot from the impact of
human activities, and their eradication from the face of the earth might just

the industrial revolution, man has always been thinking of development. We have
seen cities sprouting from all corners of the earth. Uncontrolled development
is one of the worst enemies of the biosphere. When human beings want to set up
infrastructure such as buildings, they do so at the expense of the biosphere.
Trees are cut down, through deforestation without an effort of planting others
to replace those cut-down. With human eradication, deforestation will be a
thing of the past and trees, and other plants will grow peacefully without
human interference. The above will create a favorable climate and limit drastic
climatic changes that affect the biosphere (Briggs, n.d., p. 84).

of other living things. Development is the culprit to the above alteration, and
it may lead to the extinction of species or habitat fragmentation. Without
human existence, such habitats will remain intact, and biosphere will take its
natural course towards the coexistence of all its ecosystems. Land resources,
forest resources, and even fishery or aquatic resources are all at the mercy of
human beings. The more the growth in the human population, the higher the rates
of its destruction compared to when the population is low or better, when human
beings are eradicated from the surface of the earth (Smil, 2011).

Deforestation leads to less forest cover, and the excessive C02 that is harmful
to the atmosphere will not be absorbed. At the end of it destroying the
biosphere leads to the destruction of the atmosphere and the hydrosphere as


the above spheres of the earth are affected negatively by human activities.
Eradication of human beings from the earth will thus have positive effects on
the spheres. It is sad that despite the superiority man has over living things,
and the earth in general, he has failed to control and conserve it. Human
beings are too focused on industrial development that they forget the very
ecosystem that supports their existence. It is best is we correct the harm we
are causing to our earth because if it perishes, we too perish as part of it.
