Everything affects everything. Hannah unhappiness and eventual suicide wasn’t led by a single course, it was everything rolled up together dropping heavily on her, and she collapsed under its weight.

A rumor based on a kiss started a reputation that other people believed in and reacted to. And sometimes, a rumor based on a kiss has a snowball effect. ‘The snowball gains speed and mass as It rolls down the hill, Just like Hannah problems which would soon catch up with her. Hannah self confidence crumbles under the weight of this massive snowball.
Eventually, the snowball of problems grow too big, crumbles and melts, taking Hannah down with It. It is at this moment that Hannah decides to give up on her life. Hannah bad reputation and the rumors that surrounded her had no truth In them. Later In the story, after Hannah gave up, she gave Into her reputation and by not trying to push Bryce away when he tried to sexually harass her. She gave Into the reputations the others had set for her and let her reputation become her.
